A civil engineer by profession. He was the Director-General of the Drainage and Irrigation Department, Ministry of Agriculture. He is one of the member of the Board of Directors of the former Bank
Buruh.

He realised the importance of BIM having its own building and took the initiative to buy Bangunan BIM in Damansara Utama where the secretariat is now housed.

He was also instrumental in providing service to members of BIM. The Insurance Service Unit was established under his leadership. This unit developing until today with two principal insurers, the Zurich Insurance (M) Sdn.Bhd. and the SEA Insurance Sdn.Bhd. He is also a member of the Board of Trustee.
