A Chemist/technologist by profession. He is specialist in rubber and plastic technology. However, he is now a successful entrepreneur in chemical laboratory and healthcare services.

During his tenure as Chairman of BIM, his focus was to consolidate all the ongoing project at hands-having been involved in BIM's affairs for more than 10 years then.

Assisted by the Executive Committee, in particular the Land Development Committee, he continued to pursue the various options available. This was important to find a way out for BIM's financial woes of quit rent and assessment payments.

He initiated efforts to forge closer rapport with member associations through regular dialogues with each council in turn. Comments and views on professional and national issue were offered as and when opportune.
